We were just friends when started out
that we'd be more I had my doubt

Still you came back to talk with me

A friend that was forever true

Astonished that I'd been so blind
I looked inside surprised to find
Breaking love like waves upon the shore
As we begin our lives to share
I hope you see how much I care
And know it's you that I'll always adore
We started out as friends you see
Forever friends we'll always be
But your sweet patience gave us so much more
